| When Apple first came out with the Quadra 840AV Macintosh computer, it had audio and video capabilities built right into the computer. I needed to upgrade my system and realized that if I had a video camera, I could capture movies and stills directly from the camera and would not have to deal with film processing or delayed waits. This was great! I bought one of the new AV's and got a Sony Hi-8 video camera. Since then, a whole slew of digital cameras have hit the market and to some degree are beginning to surpass in quality from the 640 x 480 pixel images I am able to capture with my video camera. The main difference is that I can capture 30 frames per second and create movies if I so desire. I can also be selective with action shots and select the best image for a particular subject. What you are seeing above is a single frame captured with Photoshops plug-in digitizer and imported into a Canvas5 document grayed layer. I then use the line tool to trace over the main structural lines to create the perspective drawing. The actual custom made railings are designed to scale in 2-D and later brought back into the perspective drawing by pasting the railing and using the skew command to resize the railings to fit into the perspective drawing. |
