Here is some traditional blacksmithing craftsmanship at its best! There are a few electric welds made, but could have been done with oxyacetylene just as Edgar Brandt would have in the early 1920’s. Everything is hand forged! The main leg stems are forge welded, all the brass details are riveted or soldered, and the finish is a natural oil finish that shows all the hand hammered detail. This is a must see documentary for the aspiring blacksmith!

If you have an interest in seeing what it takes to design, fabricate, and install a custom made driveway gate, then this is the documentary you want to see! I go into showing you detailed drawings created using cad drawing tools, followed by detail photos of using a cnc plasma cutting machine to cut the bronze 1/4 inch sheets, applying an antique bronze patina, and finish with welding and assembly of each section of the drive way gates. Even though I did not do the installation, I do have some photos of shipping and installation of these unique driveway gates.
