I just finished putting together a seven minute video documentary for the chandelier I am working on for the Marsi residence.  This second video documentary covers hot forging 1” solid steel bar into large leaf forms. In the second half of the video, I demonstrate the forge welding of these leaves into cluster sets of three.

You would think from looking at the video that it’s all so easy to do. Well let me tell you that the reason it looks so easy is because of two things. The first is that I’ve been forging metals for over 25 years. If you do something long enough, it becomes second nature. The second reason it looks easy is because of the video editing. I took a full days work and squeezed it into a seven minute video! Now, if I could only figure out how to actually condense my days work into seven minutes...
