To get a consistent antique bronze look to the freshly cut brass plates we have to go through a procedure of cleaning, pickling, and grinding, prior to the application of a commercially mixed chemical solution which will darken the brass plates. This procedure is time consuming due to the amount of labor required for each of the steps. Procedure:
Note that the new antique bronze coloring will age and darken over time as it is exposed to the outdoor elements. |
