When I look back through all the steps I have taken to make the pedestrian gate, I must admit that I am amazed at how long it takes to make each of these panels. Maybe it is hard for the average viewer to get an idea of the amount of labor it takes to create metal art, and maybe these pages can't give you the experience of time versus work, but when I go back and view only the pages documenting the pedestrian gate, I get a sense of how much time and energy I have taken to create this gate. I only hope that you can get a glimpse into the world of a metalsmith who cares about the artwork he creates. |
