Plasma cutting these pieces release the inner stresses and add to the bowing of the sheet. To straighten the bow, I first tack the end onto the center mark of the lower rail and clamp a stainless angle near the bottom of the panel. |

As you can see from this close up, the bow in this panel is about one inch wide. Once I clamp down the panel to the straight angle bar, the bow is removed. The lower rail is then tack welded on both side two inches of every six. This will prevent any bowing to occur after the clamps are removed. |
