Preparing for Table Leg Production

Now that I have forged a few fluted legs and the first faceted ball, it's time to cut and forge all the leg components for both tables. My assistant Malte is preparing the coal forge to work the fluted legs. He will be heating one piece at a time and making sure the material does not burn. The gas furnace shown on the extreme left will be used to stack the 2 1/2" x 6" material for the faceted balls.
