Cold Forging Fluted Table Legs

One of the restrictions placed by my Little Giant mechanical hammer is that of working throat height. When I was hot forging the fluted table legs I was able to work the material from about 2 1/2 inches to 1/2 inches. But the very end of the upset fluted legs was aproximately 4 inches in diameter. This has caused me to now go back to all the fluted legs and reforge them with the proper texture so that the complete leg has a uniform texture to it.

After readjusting the hammer head on the Little Giant, I can now properly forge these legs. There is no need to heat the legs since I am only texturing the material.
