Cold Forging Fluted Table Legs

This closer detail shows how the cold forging of the fluted leg end is blending nicely with the previous hot forge work. Note at the bottom of the leg the difference between the unworked scaled section and the newly textured material. Now I will continue cold forging all 16 ends of the fluted legs. Some folks may think that this is tedious boring work, but I like it because the consistent rhythm of the hammer blows and slow working of the textured surfaces allows me to go into a meditative Zen-like state.
