Upsetting Fluted Table Legs

	The next step in making the console table is in forging the wrought iron fluted legs from 2-1/2" solid steel round stock. I start out with a piece that is 8" long and take a bright orange heat on one end of the bar. I then upset the end of the bar using "Zelda", my 3B Nazel pneumatic forging hammer. This gives the 4" diameter fluted end which will receive the faceted balls at each end.
