Forging Scrolls for Console Tables

Additional scrolling is accomplished by striking the bar over the anvil horn. This is a quick way to increase the size of the scroll. The curved form is then flattened on the anvil face and checked against the template. Note that each end of the 3/8" bar is formed this way and later bent to form the repeated zigzag curves found in the pattern for these console tables.
