One of the most important design details for these console tables is the contrast between the smooth deep cut bevel and the textured surface achieved from torch cutting the inch and a half solid steel bar. Since I do not own a milling machine, I use hand grinders to grind away aproximately a half inch of material from the top surface of the table top. This beveled surface will go well with the beveled marble top the client will be placing on these table bases. |
